We’re Moving to a Bigger Shop (and Launching Something Very Exciting…) If you’ve visited Oh My Dog Conwy, you’ll know that our little dog shop in the heart of Conwy has become a bit of a hub for dog lovers — especially the wonderful dachshund and sausage dog community that we adore so much. Well… we have some very exciting news. Oh My Dog Conwy is moving to a bigger shop this May/June! Over the past couple of years our small boutique has grown faster than we ever imagined. From welcoming hundreds of local dog owners to seeing our products reach customers across the UK, it’s clear that our current space simply isn’t big enough for all the ideas, products and events we have planned. So we’re expanding. A Bigger Dog Shop in Conwy 🐶 Our new space will allow us to grow Oh My Dog Conwy into one of the most exciting dog boutiques in North Wales. Expect: • An even bigger range of stylish dog accessories • Our growing collection of dachshund clothing and sausage dog products • Premium dog leads, harnesses and travel accessories • Beautiful dog gifts and treats • Exclusive new products launching later this year • More room for customers (and their dogs!) to browse comfortably We’re also working on new product lines designed specifically for dachshunds, something many of our customers have been asking for. Introducing… Bare Bones Co 🖤 But that’s not all.   Our current shop isn’t going anywhere — it’s getting a completely new identity. We’re transforming it into a brand new concept store called Bare Bones Co. Bare Bones Co will be a gift shop with a difference — packed with bold, funny, slightly cheeky gifts that you won’t find in your typical high street shop. Think: • Unique and slightly close-to-the-bone gifts • Funny homeware and statement pieces • Bold lifestyle products • Quirky cards, prints and accessories • Unexpected finds you didn’t know you needed It’s going to be fun, different, and a little bit rebellious — and we cannot wait to share it with you. The Sausage Dog Community Continues to Grow 🌭🐕   One of the most special things about running Oh My Dog Conwy has been building our incredible sausage dog community.   Our Sausage Dog Social walks have grown into amazing events with dozens of dachshunds (and their humans) joining us each month. Watching this community grow has been one of the highlights of the business. And with the bigger shop coming… we’ve got even more events planned. 🐾 A Little Catch Up from Oh My Dog Conwy! It’s been a busy old few weeks here at Oh My Dog Conwy, and honestly, we’ve barely had time to sit down with a cuppa! Between pop-up events, new stock, and all things festive flying in, there’s loads to update you on — so here’s a little round up of what we’ve been up to lately. 🎃 Pumpkin Festival at Bodnant Welsh Food We took the Oh My Dog pop-up shop to Bodnant Welsh Food’s Annual Pumpkin Festival last and it was just brilliant! Such a lovely atmosphere, loads of families, and so many dogs (and yes plenty of sausage dogs stealing the show as always 🐾). It was great to meet lots of new faces, chat about our products, and show off some of the things that have been going viral online lately especially our funny dog lead sleeves! 🐶 The Lead Sleeves That Just Won’t Stop Going Viral Speaking of those sleeves… they’ve been flying out faster than we can make them! We’ve shipped hundreds all over the UK (and even a few to the US and Canada). We did a Halloween range which was great fun and now we’re onto the Christmas ones, which I have to say might be my favourite yet. Think cheeky slogans, festive colours and perfect gifts for dog owners who love a laugh. 🧣 Festive Dog Jumpers Incoming! I’ve also been working on some very funny Christmas dog jumpers that are due to arrive at the end of November. These aren’t your average cute Christmas jumpers — they’re a bit cheeky, a bit close to the bone, and guaranteed to get your pooch noticed. We’ll be doing a few collabs with some social media pups too, so keep your eyes peeled for that (and if your dog’s got a bit of personality — message me, we might need them on the team!). 🦴 Sausage Dog Socials & Big 2025 Plans Our Sausage Dog Socials are still going strong and growing every month. I love seeing all your dachshunds together  it really does feel like one big family now. Our Halloweenie Party is happening at The Pet Place Abergele this month, and it’s free to come along  just comment your dog’s name to book! And the BIG news… I’m working on a full Sausage Dog Festival for 2025 here in North Wales! It’s early days but it’s going to be amazing  think stalls, entertainment, food, and hundreds of sausage dogs all in one place. Our next Sausage Dog Socials Walk is happening on Sunday, April 27, 2025, and we’d love for you and your four-legged friend to join us This time, we’re meeting at Porth Eirias, Colwyn Bay at 10am and taking a scenic stroll along the promenade and beach into Rhos-on-Sea. It’s the perfect opportunity for your sausage to stretch their little legs, meet fellow dachshunds, and enjoy some fresh sea air. Once we reach Rhos-on-Sea, you’ll have the chance to grab a coffee or a bite to eat before heading back to your car at your own pace Special Guest: Kim from Boundless Dog Training & Behaviour We’re thrilled to have Kim from Boundless Dog Training & Behaviour joining us on this walk! When people ask how I got into the dog boutique biz, the answer is simple: I didn’t choose the dog life; the dog life chose me. Or maybe I just liked the wag of it — who knows? Some might say I’m barking mad, but I prefer to think of myself as a passionate aficionado of all things canine. After all, what else would prompt a perfectly sane human to jump into the wonderful (and occasionally muddy) world of dog boutique ownership where it’s all cosy dog jumpers, harnesses, leads, treats and beautiful gifts for humans too? 🐕‍🦺The Real Stars: Meet the Pooches Now, let’s introduce you to the stars of the show and my constant canine companions, known in our house as “the dogs who live like kings.” 🐾Sir Trumpsalot Sir Trumpsalot is my first furry friend and, frankly, the reason why my postie no longer rings twice! He’s taught me everything I know about perseverance, loyalty, and the surprising versatility of dog fur as an interior design feature. 🐾Lady Barksalot (AkA Dora or ‘stinkerbelle’) And then there’s Lady Barksalot, the queen of the couch and a steadfast connoisseur of belly rubs. With her soulful eyes and discerning palate (only the finest kibble for her), Lady Barksalot thinks she's a diva but is more likely to be found snoring mid-photo shoot. Her calming presence is the yin to Sir Trumpsalots yang. ❤️From Passion to Paw-sionate Business Inspired by my furry friends and their ever-growing collection of chew toys, dog coats, collars and leads I realized that alas, I had no choice but to open a boutique full of goodies fit for royalty. I noticed there was a gap in the market for dog accessories that were stylish, fun, and practical. Thus, Oh My Dog Conwy was born! Our mission? To ensure every pup has its day with dapper accessories, cozy comforts, and, of course, never-ending treats, and there’s always something exciting for humans too, we have a huge collection of dog mugs, breed specific bowl, note books, scarfs and bags. 🐕‍🦺 What to Expect on This Blog Here at Oh My Dog, the blog is our playground!
